Raw-yal Rumble

I don't know why this didn't get posted, anyway
Well first the results:
La Resistance & Maven def. Shelton Benjamin, The Hurricane & Rosey
- Or should we say La Resistance def. The Hurricane & Rosey and as Maven didn't pin Benj. they are going to use this for a storyline where Maven says he beat Benj. once, while Shelton denies saying that he was never pinned...... BORING! La Resistance v/s Hurricane & Rosey can be made interesting if they take it in the right direction. As for Maven & Shelton, its a good feud as long as they cook up good storylines.
Shawn Michaels def. Christian
- Which proves Christian's decline from WM XX to WM XI.... Christian is a jobber right now and I don't see much change. Shawn beating Christian while Shawn's feuding with Edge will somehow bring the brothers together? Tag team again? Maybe a one-off match. Shawn shud beat some men who are hot now, like Batista (all hype, only hype) so that atleast the marks think he has a chance of beating Edge.

Batista def. Viscera
Yeah, whatever! This match was horrible! Viscera tried his works and that saved my LG from being hit with tomatoes. Viscera made Batista look good!? No, to me Batista (who can't wrestle) made Viscera look good! Yeah it was bad... and too sloppy a finish, but what can we xpect from Batista? Like a splotched spinebuster on such a huge guy leaves him dead!
Chris Jericho def. Chris Benoit
Aha! Here we are! The match of this year! (So far atleast.) Good fast-paced action between two submission masters and what a finish! *cough* Batista *cough* If they had played this storyline well, this could have been a fit WM match. But, leave it to WWE! What storyline was behind this one? Any explanation pls?????
Kane vs. Gene Snitsky ended in a No Contest
Two words - WHO CARES?????

Now the preview:
Randy Orton v/s "Nature Boy" Ric Flair
Well, let's say Randy wins! Yeah, that's whats gonna happen. Randy wins or DQ/No Contest. Ric Flair ain't gonna win! Why?
If HHH beats Randy on a high, HHH gets more credit. If HHH loses to Randy on a high, Randy gets more credit.
If Randy beats HHH on a low, Randy and HHH lose credit. If HHH beats Randy on a low, Randy loses credit and HHH loses a little credit.
That solves it, right? Nope.
Batista could come and help Flair beat Orton. Which gives Batista more credit than Flair and since Batista is already on a high, that seems a good possibility. But I say NO.
Randy wins.
Will Batista attempt to qualify for the Royal Rumble on Monday Night RAW?
No.
It looks like a good time to turn Batista, but it isn't. WM or a few weeks b4 would do it. It needs time (esp. for Batista). He chooses not to qualify and HHH is happy :)
That's it.
Astalavista, Baby!

RR Predictions!

Analysis of previous column
Randy Orton v/s "Nature Boy" Ric Flair
Randy wins.
Result: Correct.
Points: 1/1
Will Batista attempt to qualify for the Royal Rumble on Monday Night RAW?
No.
Result: Wrong.
Points: 1/2

Now, for the RR Predictions:
*drum roll*
Ashman's Royal Rumble Predictions
The Royal Rumble Match
Batista - May win. They are pushing him heavily and a Triple H & Ric Flair v/s Batista feud looks imminent.
Booker T - No. Pushed down to the middle order and run out of steam since shifting to SD!
Charlie Haas - No. Not that active as of recent, also not a contender or even close for the big titles.
Chris Benoit - No. Won it last year and the crowds aren't looking forward to him winning again.
Chris Jericho - Could win. Doesn't have a push or any support behind him, but beating Benoit is good and he can look a promising champ.
Christian - No. A jobber now.
Dan Puder - No. Isn't going to get such a big push so soon.
Eddie Guerrero - No. Same as Booker.
Edge - May. Has good chances. Has been pushed and is feuding with Shawn Michaels, one of the great perrenial contenders for the championship.
Gene Snitsky - No.
Hardcore Holly - NO!
Jonathan Coachman - NOO!!!
John Cena - No. Not his time yet.
Kane - No. Too busy protecting Lita and keeping Snitsky off television.
Kenzo Suzuki - No!
Luther Reigns - For God Sakes, NO!
Mark Jindrak - No. Not his time yet.
Muhammad Hassan - No. Just debuted.
Orlando Jordan - No. Won't fight his boss.
Rene Dupree - No. Not actively pushed.
Rey Mysterio - No. Not a contender for big titles.
Ric Flair - No. Won't fight his boss, but will probably keep Batista from winning.
Scotty 2 Hotty - No. Too weak.
Shawn Michaels - Too old.
Shelton Benjamin - Too Intercontinental.
Simon Dean - Who?
The Hurricane - No Hurricane this time, folks.
Viscera - Won't win but probably will eliminate a lot of folks, he may be the Big Show of the last Rumble.
Now the only ones who got nods are:
Batista, Chris Jericho & Edge.
Chris hasn't been pushed enough to go on to win & Edge will probably take it later.
So the winner is:
Batista.... unless HHH/Ric Flair eliminates him causing
Edge to win.
HHH v/s Orton
World Heavyweight Championship
HHH, please. I find Orton's act boring and I like Raw the way it is. I think Ric may cause a victory. Or probably Orton. I don't know. Well, my pick is...
HHH.
Cause HHH would produce better feuds with Edge & Batista.

JBL v/s Kurt Angle v/s Big Show
Triple Threat
Well, let's see... not Big Show, with probably him beating up both of them and either of them getting the pinfall. JBL might win over Kurt Angle... though Kurt Angle looks good to take the championship away. My pick:
JBL

Undertaker v/s Heidenreich
Casket
Nobody cares. It's a match Taker deserves to win, but I wish he jobs and puts Heidenreich over. Anyway, I've read that Snitsky might interfere but what the heck, b4 I read that my pick was...
Undertaker
and I'm sticking with it.
Shawn Michaels v/s Edge
I think this is the only match worth watching... Obviously fast-paced action going both ways, but in the end Edge picking it up with a handful of tights or ropes... My pick
Edge

Smackdown! under

Yeah, this week's Smackdown! did pretty well. New tag champs and another championship match were the highlights.
---------------
Smackdown!'s doing a good job of building up the triple threat, but it's obvious that they're building up Big Show & Joy. Probably a heel turn for Joy, making Big Show even angrier and more of a manhandler. I think JBL looks set to retain at the rumble and Cena will probably take it from him at WM.
-----------------
Cena & the US Title, perfect!Just hope they would build it up?They did! With an opponent like Kenzo?Well, he ran through Kenzo!Good or Bad? IMO, Bad. Kenzo doesn't deserve this push. But he did do a good job of being the person Cena could run through! Cena did a fantastic job and I would think he would be the champ coming out of WM/summerslam.
-----------
Aha! New Tag Champs! GOOD MOVE!Honestly, I don't hate the tag team of RVD & Mysterio, but they could go for the US Titles at least! RVD got injured, therefore conveniently handing the titles to the *now improved* Bashams. Their powerbomb has a different edge to it, much like the rotating choke bomb anyhow, they call it the powerbomb. Now only if Shaniqua wasn't released...
-----------
The Angle Invitational will probably end with JBL/Big Show either sending somebody to beat him up (who will be a big man hired by Vince ;)) or they themselves will.
------------
WWE are doing a good job building up the Cruiserweight Division, bringing up guys like Spike, Funaki & Nunzio in the past weeks. i would like to see Akio take the belt with Mysterio moving on to the US Division along with RVD.
-------------
The Divas are just pathetic showgirls... Even a little more pathetic... and a little more....
-------------
That's it for today folks! I'll be updating when the spoilers arrive

Raw'd' to Wrestlemania

Well, Raw proved me wrong and now I believe I am on the right ROAD to WrestleMania!
Triple H and Randy's stipulation has been removed (what a throwaway!) so now Randy can face HHH. So that's decided.
--------------
Edge will face Michaels at WM for sure and I am looking forward to that match, most of all. That's some good booking. He will beat Michaels and then be ready for the Title at around SummerSlam which is bound to be good IMO.
-----------------
Kane will surely face Gene Snitsky, but I think they may modify it a bit to look something like: Kane v/s Snitsky & Simon Dean since Lita is out of the equation.
------------------
Muhammad Hassan looks set to have a match at WM. But against whom, I don't know.... Maybe JR, I don't think it's Hurricane anyway. We'll see soon enough. And he looks set to take the Intercontinental Title at SummerSlam.
----------------
Probably no Women's Championship match at WM this time, just a useless lingerie/bra&panties/evening gown match. Some eye candy match anyway, which is pathetically useless.
---------------
Jericho & Benoit may tag team for a match at WM. Other than that, Raw only built up WM and tried to build up eye candy matches which are pathetic.
----------------
Ashman's updated WM card (Raw):
Triple H v/s Randy Orton - World Heavyweight Championship
Edge v/s Shawn Michaels
Kane v/s Gene Snitsky w/ Simon Dean
Mohammed Hassan w/ Khosrow Daivari v/s ???
Eye Candy Match with all divas except Molly, Trish & Victoria.

New Year's Revolution Throwaway

Aha! So Triple H has won the title... beating Randy Orton. Randy Orton is my best bet on capturing the title at WrestleMania, but he can't get at it while Triple H has it. So, Randy Orton is not going to win a well built up match at WrestleMania = Randy Orton's reign will be unapplauded = Randy Orton sucks! Yeah, I hate him, but what the hell everybody else wants him to have the title. So, how is WWE going to work it out? How will Randy get the title at WrestleMania? I don't know. You see, that's exactly why I watch WWE! Or maybe, it is not exactly why I watch WWE. :)
My bet was that Triple H would win the match at NYR. But, (even though I am right) I still don't know how Randy will be champ. Wait! I know. Other wrestlers in the equation and possible contenders:
Edge: Won't get it. They didn't push him so long for such a short title reign.
Chris B: Won't. Tried everything with him and he had his time with the belt.
Chris J: Won't. Who's he? lol. He won't because Randy v/s Jericho for the title does not sell seats at WM as much as the others do.
Batista: Won't. Yeah, right! Like I need to xplain this. Batista <> (not equal to) wrestler.
Triple H: Already the champ for the 10th and hopefully last time.
Randy: To be champ at WM.
--------
So, nobody gets it. But wait, what about the non wrestlers? No, not the divas. The ref's - Shawn Michaels! He may beat Triple H for the belt and reign supremo (until Orton beats him). He won't lose any credibility and won't hurt anybody's status either, aslo he would put Orton over and the other thing is there:
Michaels v/s Orton - World Heavyweight Championship
Boy, would I love to see that!
--------
Jeansnitsky (purpose) is hopeless. I just hope they end this feud with Trish turning face & siding with Snitsky and Lita turning heel w/ Kane. What they are likely to do is turn Kane and Lita face thus destroying Kane's gimmick so far and probably releasing him like they did with million others in recent times and not teaming Snitsky and Trish but just keeping them oddly linked as they hate the same people.
---------
Shelton Benjamin and Maven. That's good news for the Intercontinental Title. Well, the bad news is taht they don't promote Shelton enough. He seems a weak champion. But my bet's that Maven will beat him in a few rematches. I would like to see Eugene with it though.
---------
Speaking of Eugene, boy, are the tag titles dead? They make good champs, but by putting them with the tag titles they're killing both Eugene & Regal & The Titles. Hand them over to Hurricane & Rosey... please!
---------
Lita and Trish was a disappointment, for me. Lita injured storyline? That means Lita's off the TV for a couple of weeks. Which will lead into Trish facing either Molly/Victoria (AGAIN!) for the title at WM! Which I wouldn't want to see.
----------
All in all, NYR wasn't that good on booking terms, setting up WM for a probable failure at the Raw side. Let's wait till Rumble!
